59Compulsory attendance at conciliation

59 Compulsory attendance at conciliation
(1) The commission may, in writing, require a party to attend the
conciliation.
(2) The requirement to attend must state the time and place that the
person is required to attend.
Note For the entitlement to representation at conciliation, see s 57 (3).
(3) A person commits an offence if—
(a) the person is required to attend a conciliation; and
(b) the person does not attend as required.
(4) Subsection (3) does not apply—
(b) if the person has a reasonable excuse for not attending the
conciliation as required.
