30 Debits from the Federation Reform Fund

(1) If an amount has been credited under paragraph 29(2)(b) to the Federation Reform Fund for a purpose in relation to a grant of financial assistance to a State or Territory, the Treasurer must: (a) ensure that the Federation Reform Fund is debited for the purposes of making the grant; and (b) do so as soon as practicable after the amount has been credited. (2) However, if the grant cannot be made, an amount equal to the credited amount is to be: (a) debited from the Federation Reform Fund; and (b) credited to the Housing Australia Future Fund Special Account.
