Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This legislation repeals (cancels) the 1990 regulations that created the Honeybee Research and Development Council.

What this means:

The legal rules establishing the Honeybee Research and Development Council are removed
The Council itself—whose job was to manage research and development funding for Australia’s honeybee industry—is effectively disbanded or must operate under different legal arrangements
Any specific powers, membership rules, or funding mechanisms set out in the repealed regulations no longer exist

This is a straightforward administrative measure that removes the statutory framework for a specific industry research body established under the Primary Industries and Energy Research and Development Act 1989.
