18 Moneys held or paid jointly by certain eligible persons

(1) This section applies to an eligible person who is an eligible person by virtue of section 14 or section 14C. (2) Where moneys were held, maintained on deposit or paid at any time (whether before or after the commencement of the Homes Savings Grant Act 1970) jointly by a person, being a person to whom this section applies, and his or her spouse, then, for the purposes of this Act, one‑half of the moneys shall be deemed to have been held, maintained or paid, as the case may be, at that time by the eligible person and one‑half by his or her spouse.
