Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This instrument revokes the vocational education provider approval for The Mask Academy Pty Ltd (ACN 147 628 171).

In practical terms:

The company is no longer approved to offer VET Student Loans (government-funded loans for vocational courses) under the Higher Education Support Act 2003
Students cannot access Commonwealth assistance to study at this provider
The previous approval (Instrument No. 27 of 2014) is cancelled

Who decided this: Anne Flynn, acting as a delegate of the Minister for Small and Family Business, Skills and Vocational Education, exercised powers under clause 29B of Schedule 1A to the Act.

Why it matters: This effectively cuts off the company's access to federal vocational education funding and removes its ability to offer income-contingent loans to students.
