Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This document is an official government approval made under the Higher Education Support Act 2003 (HESA). It grants VET provider status to The Board of the Kangan Batman Institute of Technical and Further Education.

What this means:

The institute is now an approved Vocational Education and Training (VET) provider under Commonwealth law
This status allows the institute to access federal funding and support for its vocational courses
The approval was made by Craig Robertson, acting as a delegate of the Minister for Education, on 6 March 2009

Parliamentary oversight: The approval takes effect only after a waiting period during which either House of Parliament could have passed a resolution to disallow (overturn) the decision. This is a standard transparency measure for delegated legislative decisions.
