Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This Determination sets legally binding annual ceilings on taxpayer funding for "Other Grants" under the Higher Education Support Act for 2013–2017, specifying: 2013 $2.15b; 2014 $2.10b; 2015 $2.09b; 2016 $2.17b; 2017 $2.17b.

It affects universities and higher-education providers seeking these grants and prevents the federal government from approving any further payments once a year’s cap is exhausted, constraining executive spending.
