#### 34 Fixed term contracts 34 Fixed term contracts > A fixed term contract in force, immediately before the relevant commencement, between a person and a former institution (being a contract under which the person performed services for that institution: > > > (a) shall be taken, for the remainder of its term, to be a contract in the same terms between the person and the corresponding institution, under which the corresponding institution assumes the rights and obligations of the former institution, and > > > (b) may be arbitrated, terminated or renewed in any manner provided by the contract.
