36 Settlement etc and discharge of solicitor (1) A poor person, a solicitor conducting the proceedings for him or counsel briefed on his behalf shall not, whether before or after the commencement of the proceedings, enter into a settlement or compromise of the proceedings, or discontinue them, without the leave of the Court or a Justice. (2) A poor person shall not discharge a solicitor or counsel acting for him without the leave of the Court or a Justice.
