83 Right to claim compensation for loss on vesting of registered shipwreck or registered shipwreck artefact in the Crown (1) A person who would, but for the publication of a notice under section 82, have been entitled to ownership of a registered shipwreck or registered shipwreck artefact, or to any interest in a registered shipwreck or registered shipwreck artefact, may claim compensation for their loss by action against the Crown in the Supreme Court within 6 months after the date of publication of the notice. (2) On a claim under subsection (1), the Supreme Court may award such compensation against the Crown as it considers just in the circumstances.
