297 Offences (1) Section 43, as amended by section 43 of the amending Act, applies to an offence alleged to have been committed on or after the commencement of section 43 of the amending Act. (2) For the purposes of subsection (1), if an offence is alleged to have been committed between 2 dates, one before and one on or after the commencement of section 43 of the amending Act, the offence is alleged to have been committed before that commencement. (3) Section 87, as amended by section 57 of the amending Act, applies to an offence alleged to have been committed on or after the commencement of section 57 of the amending Act. (4) For the purposes of subsection (3), if an offence is alleged to have been committed between 2 dates, one before and one on or after the commencement of section 57 of the amending Act, the offence is alleged to have been committed before that commencement. (5) Section 88, as amended by section 58 of the amending Act, applies to an offence alleged to have been committed on or after the commencement of section 58 of the amending Act. (6) For the purposes of subsection (5), if an offence is alleged to have been committed between 2 dates, one before and one on or after the commencement of section 58 of the amending Act, the offence is alleged to have been committed before that commencement. (7) Section 89, as amended by section 59 of the amending Act, applies to an offence alleged to have been committed on or after the commencement of section 59 of the amending Act. (8) For the purposes of subsection (7), if an offence is alleged to have been committed between 2 dates, one before and one on or after the commencement of section 59 of the amending Act, the offence is alleged to have been committed before that commencement.
