56 Request for assessment
(1) The Minister may ask the Council to assess whether the declaration
for a heritage place or object should be revoked (a revocation
request).
(2) In addition, the owner of a particular heritage place or object may
ask the Council to assess whether the declaration for the heritage
place or object should be revoked (also a revocation request).
(3) However, the owner of the heritage place or object may make a
revocation request only if:
(a) a revocation request for the place or object has not been
made during the preceding 12 months; and

(b) any of the following applies:
(i) the place or object no longer exists or is no longer of
heritage significance;
(ii) information is available about the heritage value of the
place or object that has not previously been considered
by the Council;
(iii) other relevant information is available that does not
appear to have been taken into account by the Minister
when deciding previously whether or not to make or
revoke the declaration.
(4) A revocation request by the owner of a heritage place or object
must:
(b) be accompanied by the information necessary to enable the
assessment to be made.
