46 Council's decision
(1) Within 60 days after the end of the public consultation period, the
Council must decide whether or not to recommend that the Minister
declare the class of places or objects to be a protected class of
places or objects.
(2) In making the decision, the Council:
(a) must consider the submissions made to it in the public
(b) may carry out the research and make the inquiries it considers
appropriate.
