24 Assessment of place or object to be made
(1) The Council must assess the heritage significance of a place or
object by applying the heritage assessment criteria to the place or
(2) In assessing the place or object, the Council may carry out the
research and make the inquiries it considers appropriate.
(3) In addition, for an assessment of the place or object on a heritage
nomination, the Council may ask the person making the nomination
to give it additional information relevant to the assessment.
