sch.1-sec.25 Matters covered by Help to Buy Program Directions

The Help to Buy Program Directions may include directions about the following in relation to the functions mentioned in paragraph 24(1)(a): strategies and policies to be followed for the effective performance of the functions; criteria for making decisions in the performance of the functions; limits on entering into Help to Buy arrangements; internal review of decisions made by Housing Australia in the performance of the functions; internal handling of complaints relating to the performance of the functions; any other matters the Minister thinks appropriate. Without limiting subsection (1) , the Help to Buy Program Directions may include directions about the following matters relating to Help to Buy arrangements: the period, or periods, during which Housing Australia may enter into Help to Buy arrangements; the number of residential properties in relation to which Housing Australia may enter into Help to Buy arrangements; the kinds of residential properties in relation to which Housing Australia may enter into Help to Buy arrangements; the amount, or amounts, that Housing Australia may contribute under Help to Buy arrangements. Reporting For the purposes of paragraph 24(1)(b), the Help to Buy Program Directions may include directions about reporting on matters relating to: Housing Australia’s functions under this Act in relation to participating States and Territories, mentioned in section 10 ; or Housing Australia’s functions under this Act in relation to cooperating States, mentioned in section 15 ; or Housing Australia’s functions under this Act in relation to withdrawn States, mentioned in section 20 .
