sec.68 Regulator’s power to exempt particular heavy vehicle from compliance with heavy vehicle standard
The Regulator may, by giving a person a permit as mentioned in section 73 , exempt a heavy vehicle from compliance with a heavy vehicle standard for a period of not more than 3 years. An exemption under subsection (1) is a vehicle standards exemption (permit) . A vehicle standards exemption (permit) may apply to 1 or more heavy vehicles. (sec.68-ssec.1) The Regulator may, by giving a person a permit as mentioned in section 73 , exempt a heavy vehicle from compliance with a heavy vehicle standard for a period of not more than 3 years. (sec.68-ssec.2) An exemption under subsection (1) is a vehicle standards exemption (permit) . (sec.68-ssec.3) A vehicle standards exemption (permit) may apply to 1 or more heavy vehicles.
