759 Application of s 737 to a new penalty (1) The enactment of a new penalty includes the enactment of an increase in the amount of penalty applying under section 737, to take effect when the new penalty commences. (2) For the purpose of applying section 737 under subsection (1) to a new penalty, the amount of penalty applying under section 737 is to be calculated as if— new penalty means a penalty stated at the end of a provision enacted by the Heavy Vehicle National Law and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2016 (Queensland).
