sec.25 Matters authorised officer must have regard to in requiring fatigued driver to stop work
This section applies for the purposes of section 540 of the Law. In deciding the period for which a driver of a fatigue-regulated heavy vehicle will be required to not work again under section 540 (2) (a) of the Law, an authorised officer must have regard to the following matters— a period of 7 hours should be considered the minimum reasonable period of rest; a period of 24 hours should be considered a reasonable period of rest. (sec.25-ssec.1) This section applies for the purposes of section 540 of the Law. (sec.25-ssec.2) In deciding the period for which a driver of a fatigue-regulated heavy vehicle will be required to not work again under section 540 (2) (a) of the Law, an authorised officer must have regard to the following matters— a period of 7 hours should be considered the minimum reasonable period of rest; a period of 24 hours should be considered a reasonable period of rest.
