#### 15 What is a public hospital? 15 What is a public hospital? > A public hospital is— > > > (a) a hospital controlled by a local health district, or > > > (b) a hospital controlled by a statutory health corporation, or > > > (c) a hospital that is a recognised establishment of an affiliated health organisation, or > > > (d) a hospital controlled by the Crown (including the Minister or the Health Administration Corporation). > > Note. > > Clause 2 of Part 2 of the Dictionary provides that a reference in this Act to a hospital controlled by a public health organisation or any other body or person includes a reference to a hospital that is conducted by or on behalf of such an organisation, body or person.
