25 Chief executive officer (1) Each registered funded agency must appoint a person as the chief executive officer (by whatever name called) and must cause any vacancy in the office of chief executive officer to be filled as soon as possible. S. 25(2) amended by No. 46/1998 s. 7(Sch. 1), substituted by No. 52/2004 s. 11, amended by No. 52/2017 s. 8. (2) A registered funded agency must not appoint or re-appoint a person as chief executive officer unless— (a) the appointment of that person is approved by the Secretary; and (b) in the case of a public hospital, the remuneration of the chief executive officer and the terms and conditions of his or her appointment are approved by the Secretary.
