#### 16E Amount of contribution 16E Amount of contribution > > (1) The amount of weekly contribution (including commission) required to be paid for membership of the State Ambulance Insurance Plan shall be: > > > > > (a) in the case of single membership—the prescribed rate for the month during which the contribution becomes due and payable, or > > > > > (b) in the case of family membership—an amount equal to twice the prescribed rate for the month during which the contribution becomes due and payable. > > > (2) The regulations may specify the circumstances in which a person who has not paid any contribution which has become due and payable ceases to be a member of the State Ambulance Insurance Plan. > > > (3) Contributions under the State Ambulance Insurance Plan are not payable in respect of any period before 1 February 1984. > > **s 16E:** Ins 1983 No 162, Sch 2 (5).
