#### 20 Approved professional indemnity insurance 20 Approved professional indemnity insurance > For the purposes of this Act, professional indemnity insurance with respect to the civil liability of a medical practitioner is approved if the kind and extent of the insurance (including any particular terms and conditions) are approved by the Minister for the time being by order published in the Gazette. > > Note. > > Section 43 (2) of the [Interpretation Act 1987](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1987-015) provides that if an Act confers a power on any person to make an order, the power includes power to amend or repeal any order made in the exercise of that power.
