14Notice of intention to recover amounts

#### 14 Notice of intention to recover amounts (1) The Chief Executive Medicare may give to the notifiable person written notice that the Chief Executive Medicare may seek: (a) in relation to the amount of compensation fixed in a judgment or settlement; or (b) in relation to an amount of compensation paid under a reimbursement arrangement; payment to the Commonwealth, under this Act or the Charges Act, of amounts in respect of any eligible benefits paid by the Commonwealth in respect of any service or care rendered or provided in the course of treatment of, or as a result of, the claimant’s injury. (2) Without limiting the matters that the notice may include, it may include information about any requirements of this Division relating to the claim for compensation. (3) The Chief Executive Medicare must give a copy of any such notice to the claimant.
