#### 58C Evidentiary certificate—environmentally sound management of hazardous waste Environmentally sound management of hazardous waste (1) The Minister may issue a written certificate stating that engaging, or failing to engage, in specified conduct in relation to specified hazardous waste is, or is not, environmentally sound management of that hazardous waste for the purposes of this Act. Consultation with relevant experts (2) When deciding whether to issue a certificate under subsection (1), the Minister must consult one or more of the following: (a) a person who the Minister considers has expertise or qualifications relevant to the decision; (b) an industry group; (c) an environmental group; (d) a State or Territory government body. Prima facie evidence (3) In any proceedings relating to this Act, a certificate under subsection (1) is prima facie evidence of the matters in the certificate. Gazettal (4) A copy of a certificate under subsection (1) must be published in the Gazette.
