25Surrender of Basel permits

#### 25 Surrender of Basel permits (1) Subject to this section, the holder of a Basel permit may, at any time, surrender the permit by: (a) returning the permit to the Minister; and (b) giving the Minister written notice that the permit is surrendered. (2) If the permit is a Basel import permit, the permit may not be surrendered after any import authorised by the permit has begun. (2A) If the permit is a Basel export permit, the permit may not be surrendered after any export authorised by the permit has begun. (2B) If the permit is a Basel transit permit, the permit may not be surrendered after the carrying out of any transit proposal authorised by the permit has begun. (3) The surrender of the permit takes effect on the day on which subsection (1) is satisfied.
