#### 16C Period for making decision on application for Basel permit—referrals under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 If, within the decision period, the proposal to grant the Basel permit is referred under Subdivision A of Division 4 of Part 11 of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999, the decision period is paused until: (a) the Minister administering that Subdivision gives, under section 163 of that Act, advice on the proposed grant; or (b) the Minister administering that Subdivision decides, under section 161A of that Act, that that Subdivision does not apply to the referral. > Note: Under Subdivision A of Division 4 of Part 11 of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999, persons considering whether to authorise certain actions must get advice on environmental matters from the Minister administering that Subdivision.
