58 Settlements and gifts

[Section 58 Amended by No. 18 of 2021, s. 147, Applied:05 Nov 2021] [Section 58 Amended by No. 21 of 2023, s. 51, Applied:01 Sep 2024] The Tribunal at the request of an administrator or of its own motion after conducting a hearing may authorize the settlement of any property of a represented person, or the gift of any property of a represented person for –

(a) the maintenance or other benefit of members of the represented person's family; or

(b) [Section 58 Amended by No. 21 of 2023, s. 52, Applied:01 Sep 2024] making provision for other persons for whom, or purposes for which the represented person might be expected to provide if the represented person were not a person with impaired decision-making ability; or

(c) otherwise administering the represented person's affairs.
