#### 21A Power to enforce guardianship orders 21A Power to enforce guardianship orders > > (1) Without limiting section 16, a guardianship order may specify that— > > > > > (a) the person appointed as guardian, or > > > > > (b) another specified person or a person of a specified class of persons, or > > > > > (c) a person authorised by the guardian (the authorised person), > > > > is empowered to take such measures or actions as are specified in the order so as to ensure that the person under guardianship complies with any decision of the guardian in the exercise of the guardian’s functions. > > > (2) If a person referred to in subsection (1) (a), (b) or (c) takes any measure or action specified in the order in the reasonable belief that— > > > > > (a) he or she is empowered by the guardianship order to take the measure or action, and > > > > > (b) the measure or action is in the best interest of the person under guardianship, and > > > > > (c) it is necessary or desirable to take that measure or action in the circumstances, > > > > the person concerned is not liable to any action, liability, claim or demand arising out of the taking of that measure or action. > > **ss 21A–21C:** Ins 1997 No 49, Sch 1 \[22\].
