#### 39ZC Moratorium on grant of new permits while plan of management is being prepared (1) The Authority may, in a public notice given under subsection 39ZB(1) in relation to a proposed plan of management, or in a separate public notice, direct that no relevant permissions (within the meaning of the regulations) of a kind referred to in the notice containing the direction are to be granted under the regulations in relation to the area, species or ecological community to which the proposed plan is to relate during the period beginning on the date of publication in the Gazette of the notice containing the direction and ending: (a) at the end of 12 months after that date; or (b) on the day on which the plan of management comes into force; whichever first occurs. (2) A direction given under subsection (1) has effect according to its terms.
