#### 6 Citizenship or residency requirements 6 Citizenship or residency requirements > > (1) A person is not to be employed as a Public Service employee unless the person is— > > > > > (a) an Australian citizen, or > > > > > (b) a permanent resident of Australia, or > > > > > (c) a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand passport, or > > > > > (d) a citizen of another country with a current visa that allows the person to work in Australia. > > > (2) A person is not to be offered employment in the Public Service if that employment would exceed any limitation imposed by or in accordance with law as to the person’s entitlement to work in Australia.
