##### 72. No railway to cross government railway without Authority’s consent (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in any Act relating to railways or tramways, no railway or tramway shall cross any government railway on the level, except under an agreement previously entered into in that behalf between the Authority and the owner of such railway or tramway; and the Authority is hereby empowered to enter into such agreements upon such terms and conditions as it thinks fit, and to enforce the same whenever the occasion arises. (2) Every such agreement shall provide that, in case default is made by the owner of such railway or tramway in carrying out the terms of any such agreement as aforesaid, the Authority may, in addition to the exercise of any other remedies prescribed by the agreement, remove the crossing, and all material used in connection therewith, from such government railway.
