#### 12 Bodies declared to be public authorities 12 Bodies declared to be public authorities > > (1) For the purposes of clause 2 (2) (b) of Schedule 4 to the Act, each of the following bodies is declared to be a public authority— > > > > > (a) Australian Music Examinations Board NSW, > > > > > (b) Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme (NSW State Committee), > > > > > (c) NSW Adult Migrant English Service, > > > > > (d) Regional Development Australia. > > > (2) Also, an approved charitable organisation is declared to be a public authority— > > > > > (a) for the purposes of the Act, except section 6 and Part 3, and > > > > > (b) to the extent the organisation’s conduct relates to the exercise of functions under the [Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1979](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1979-200). > > > (3) In this clause— > > > > approved charitable organisation has the same meaning as in the [Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1979](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1979-200). > > **cl 12:** Am 2024 No 51, Sch 3.
