Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This document is a formal commencement proclamation—essentially an official 'on switch' for parts of an existing law.

What it does:

Sets 1 July 2015 as the date when Schedules 1, 2 and 3 of the Governance of Australian Government Superannuation Schemes Legislation Amendment Act 2015 become legally active.

Why this matters: When Parliament passes an Act, the actual rules don't always apply immediately. This proclamation, made by the Governor-General under authority granted by the Act itself, formally triggers the start date for these specific superannuation governance reforms.

In plain terms: Think of this as the starter's gun for three sections of new rules about how Australian Government superannuation schemes are run.
