sec.19 Rate of pay for other role
If an employee who has been given a redundancy notice agrees with the company to perform another role for which a rate of pay lower than the rate paid for the redundant role is paid, the company must pay the employee the rate for the redundant role. Payment at the rate for the redundant role must be made until the earlier of the following events happens— the end of 2 years from the employee starting work in the other role; the all purpose rate of pay for the other role becomes more than the rate for the redundant role. (sec.19-ssec.1) If an employee who has been given a redundancy notice agrees with the company to perform another role for which a rate of pay lower than the rate paid for the redundant role is paid, the company must pay the employee the rate for the redundant role. (sec.19-ssec.2) Payment at the rate for the redundant role must be made until the earlier of the following events happens— the end of 2 years from the employee starting work in the other role; the all purpose rate of pay for the other role becomes more than the rate for the redundant role.
- (a) the end of 2 years from the employee starting work in the other role;
- (b) the all purpose rate of pay for the other role becomes more than the rate for the redundant role.
