85 Operations on unrestricted Crown land
(1) A person must not carry out any significant operation on any unrestricted Crown land as part of a geothermal energy operation unless the person has consulted the Minister responsible for controlling or managing the land.

(2) If a person has complied with subsection (1) and the conditions of the relevant authority, the person may carry out the operation without the need to obtain any other consent or authority, despite anything to the contrary in any Act or subordinate instrument other than the Environment Protection Act 2017, the Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act 1988, the Water Act 1989 and the Forests (Fire Protection) Regulations 2004.
