63 Compensation for damage to land (1) This section applies in relation to: (a) an area of land within a geothermal authority area that is damaged as a result of the geothermal activities conducted on the land; or (b) land over which a geothermal authority holder has exercised a right under section 42 resulting in damage to the land. (2) The owner or occupier of the land is entitled to compensation from the geothermal authority holder for the loss or damage in relation to the person's interest in the land.
