5 Declaration of GMO-free area
(1) The Minister, by order, may declare the whole or any part of Tasmania to be an area that is free of GMOs if he or she considers that to do so would aid in preserving the identity of non-genetically modified crops and animals for marketing purposes.
(2) An order under subsection (1) is a statutory rule for the purposes of the Rules Publication Act 1953 .
