6H Meaning of relevant standard (1) In this Act: relevant standard— (a) for gasfitting work, other than medical gasfitting work or medical gas technician work, means— (i) AS/NZS 5601 as in force from time to time; or (ii) if another standard is prescribed—that standard; and (b) for gas appliances and gas appliance work means— (i) in relation to a type A gas appliance— (A) AS/NZS 5601 as in force from time to time; or (B) if another standard is prescribed—that standard; and (ii) in relation to a type B gas appliance— (A) AS/NZS 1375, AS/NZS 3814 and AS/NZS 5601 as in force from time to time; or (B) if another standard is prescribed—that standard; and (c) for medical gasfitting work and medical gas technician work means— (i) AS 2896 as in force from time to time; or (ii) if another standard is prescribed—that standard. (2) The Legislation Act, section 47 (6) does not apply to AS/NZS 1375, AS 2896, AS/NZS 3814 or AS/NZS 5601. Note AS/NZS 1375, AS 2896, AS/NZS 3814 and AS/NZS 5601 do not need to be notified under the Legislation Act because s 47 (6) does not apply (see Legislation Act, s 47 (7)).
