This Order amends the Gas Pipelines (Transmission Pipeline) Order 2001. It takes effect on the day it is notified in the Gazette and its change is incorporated into the authorised version of the 2001 Order.
Mechanically, the instrument updates the legal text that governs persons covered by the 2001 Order (for example, transmission pipeline operators) and is administered by the Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources.

In this order, the Gas Pipelines (Transmission Pipeline) Order 2001 is referred to as the Principal Order.
The amendment effected by this clause has been incorporated into the authorised version of the Gas Pipelines (Transmission Pipeline) Order 2001 .
