229B Monetary benefits orders (1) If a court finds a person guilty of an offence against Division 4AA of Part 3 or section 229A(1) or (2), the court may, on the application of the Commission, make an order under subsection (2). (2) The court may order the person to pay an amount not exceeding the amount that the court is satisfied represents 3 times the amount of any monetary benefits acquired by the person, or accrued or accruing to the person, as a result of the offence. (3) Any amounts received by the Commission pursuant to an order under subsection (2) are to be paid into the Consolidated Fund. S. 229C inserted by No. 28/2021 s. 26.
