#### 58 Forfeiture of certain electrical articles and gas appliances 58 Forfeiture of certain electrical articles and gas appliances > > (1) The Secretary may apply to the Local Court for the forfeiture of an electrical article or a gas appliance to the Crown if— > > > > > (a) a court has found a person guilty of an offence against this Act or the regulations in connection with the electrical article or gas appliance, or > > > > > (b) the Secretary determines that a seized article or appliance is unsafe. > > > (2) The Secretary is to make the application in the manner prescribed by the regulations. > > > (3) On the making of an order by the Local Court for the forfeiture of an electrical article or a gas appliance, the electrical article or gas appliance is forfeited to the Crown. > > > (4) Any electrical article or gas appliance forfeited to the Crown may be disposed of as the Secretary directs.
