#### 47 Restrictions on power of entry to residential premises 47 Restrictions on power of entry to residential premises > The powers of entry and inspection conferred by this Act are not exercisable in relation to any premises or part of premises that are being used for residential purposes except— > > > (a) with the permission of the occupier of the premises or that part of the premises, or > > > (b) under the authority conferred by a search warrant, or > > > (c) for the sole purpose of reading an electricity meter. > > Note— > > Section 59 enables authorised officers to obtain search warrants to search residential premises in certain circumstances. > > **s 47:** Am 2021 No 21, Sch 4.2\[2\].
