#### 173 Rectification orders 173 Rectification orders > > (1) As an alternative to taking disciplinary action against a licensee, the Minister may direct the licensee in writing to take specified action within a specified time to rectify the matter that constitutes the basis for taking disciplinary action. > > > (2) If a licensee fails to take the specified action within the specified time, the Minister may proceed to take disciplinary action in accordance with section 172. > > > (3) The Minister may direct a CMS licensee to take specified action within a specified time to rectify the matter that constitutes the basis for taking disciplinary action under section 172 whether or not the Minister has also taken disciplinary action under that section. > > **s 173:** Am 2015 No 70, Sch 1 \[14\].
