173Bribery

173 Bribery (1) A person who corruptly asks for, receives, or obtains or agrees to receive or obtain any money, property or benefit of any kind for the person or any other person: (a) so that the person will forego or neglect his or her powers or functions under this Act or in order to influence the person in the exercise or performance of his or her powers or functions (b) because of anything already done or omitted to be done or to be afterwards done or omitted to be done by the person in the exercise or performance of his or her powers or functions (c) for the person to use or take advantage of his or her position improperly to gain a benefit or advantage for or facilitate the commission of an offence by another person, (2) A person who corruptly gives, confers or procures or promises or offers to give, confer or procure to, on or for any other person money, property or benefit of any kind: (a) so that the person will forego or neglect his or her powers or functions under this Act or in order to influence that other person in the exercise or performance of his or her powers or functions under this Act; (b) because of anything already done or omitted to be done or to be afterwards done or omitted to be done by that other person in the exercise or performance of his or her powers or functions under this Act; or (c) for that other person to use or take advantage of his or her position improperly to gain any benefit or advantage for or facilitate the commission of an offence,
