Tasmania regulation
These regulations specify which offences under the Gaming Control Act 1993 can be dealt with by infringement notices and set the number of penalty units for each (reg 4; Schedule 1). They commenced on 27 April 2021 and are administered by the Department of Treasury and Finance. Offenders pay the listed fines when notices are issued under s172A of the Act, shifting some enforcement away from prosecution and creating predictable monetary compliance costs for licensees and individuals.

These regulations may be cited as the Gaming Control (Infringement Notices) Regulations 2021 .
These regulations take effect on 27 April 2021.
In these regulations –
Act means the Gaming Control Act 1993 .
For the purposes of section 172A of the Act –
(a) an infringement offence is an offence against a provision of the Act specified in column 2 of Schedule 1 ; and
(b) the penalty specified in column 3 of Schedule 1 in relation to an infringement offence is the penalty applicable to that offence.
