sec.47 Decision by chief executive about issue of completion certificate if all parties agree

On receiving the completion agreement, the chief executive must decide whether or not to issue a completion certificate for the apprenticeship or traineeship. The chief executive may issue the completion certificate only if satisfied that the apprentice or trainee has completed the apprenticeship or traineeship in accordance with this Act. The chief executive may request further information before deciding whether to issue a completion certificate. If the chief executive decides to issue the completion certificate, the chief executive must immediately— give written notice of the decision to the parties to the registered training contract and the supervising registered training organisation; and give the apprentice or trainee the completion certificate. If the chief executive decides not to issue the completion certificate, the chief executive must immediately give the parties to the contract and the supervising registered training organisation written notice of the decision, including the reasons for the decision. (sec.47-ssec.1) On receiving the completion agreement, the chief executive must decide whether or not to issue a completion certificate for the apprenticeship or traineeship. • (b) give the apprentice or trainee the completion certificate.
