#### 56 Power to hold inquiries 56 Power to hold inquiries > > (1) Where the Secretary is of the opinion that to do so would be in the public interest or in the interest of any person who is a contributor or who has entered into a pre-paid contract, the Secretary may hold an inquiry into the affairs of a funeral fund, including the operation and financial circumstances of the fund, or into such of those affairs as the Secretary may determine. > > > (2) Where the Secretary decides to hold an inquiry under this Division, the Secretary shall forthwith notify the funeral fund concerned in writing of that decision.
