sec.17 Application for payment of benefit— Act , s 16 (3)
This section applies to an application under section 16 (3) of the Act . The application must be in the approved form and be made by a relevant applicant. The registrar must pay out of the fund to the relevant applicant the surrender value of the benefit provided by the corporation. In this section— relevant applicant means— the person who has paid or is liable to pay the funeral costs of the deceased person; or the personal representative of the deceased person. s 17 amd 2013 SL No. 140 s 4 (sec.17-ssec.1) This section applies to an application under section 16 (3) of the Act . (sec.17-ssec.2) The application must be in the approved form and be made by a relevant applicant. (sec.17-ssec.3) The registrar must pay out of the fund to the relevant applicant the surrender value of the benefit provided by the corporation. (sec.17-ssec.4) In this section— relevant applicant means— the person who has paid or is liable to pay the funeral costs of the deceased person; or the personal representative of the deceased person.
