10Disclosure of interests

#### 10 Disclosure of interests (1) A member who has a direct or indirect interest in a matter being considered or about to be considered by the Committee must, as soon as possible after the relevant facts have come to the knowledge of the member, disclose the nature of the interest at a meeting of the Committee. (2) A member who makes a disclosure under subregulation (1) must not, unless the Committee or the Minister otherwise determines: (a) be present during any deliberation of the Committee about the matter; or (b) take part in any decision of the Committee about the matter. (3) A member who has a direct or indirect pecuniary interest in the matter to which the disclosure relates must not: (a) be present during any deliberation of the Committee about making a determination under subregulation (2); or (b) take part in making the determination. (4) A member is not taken to have an interest for this regulation only because of a direct or indirect interest that the member has only through being a representative mentioned in subsection 25(2) of the Act.
