Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

These technical amendments align ACT law with the 2010 FOI reforms by treating references to the former Privacy Commissioner as the new Australian Information Commissioner and by extending transitional arrangements to the ACT. They affect the ACT Government Service and anyone with privacy or FOI matters, preventing legal gaps and ensuring existing complaints and investigations continue smoothly under the new oversight.
